Riversharks at Campbell's Field

Two weeks ago, give or take two or so weeks, the Supply Chain department had the Campbell’s suite at Campbell’s Field. Time fly’s so fast now that I have something to do 24hrs. a day. Not that I am doing something 24hrs. a day, but I could. I guess just the fact that I can is sufficient for now. So my wife and I went to the game. The team is a minor league team, The Camden River sharks. I really don’t like baseball. You’re always sitting around waiting for something to happen. To make matters worse, when it happens I am always in the middle of taking a bite of a chili dog or gulping a big beer. Besides the fact that it’s a game where a group of men get together, put on tight pants, and spend half the game running back to a cramped area where they can slap each other on the ass.. So we went to the minor league game. Minor league is really big up here on the east cost. . Go figure. It was great! The setting could not have been more perfect. I actually took a picture to post because it looks more like something out of a movie set. That and with my mastery of the English language I was sure that I would not be able to explain the view. The field sits on the bank of the Delaware River next to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. The picture was taken from the bar looking across the river at Philly.

While there we of course had to also have our picture take with the Mascot. Or was it more like some of my Texas friends who "Stalked The Mascot" Although the picture doesn’t depict it well those are not 12 oz. cups, they are actually bigger, and only cost $4. Yes they still have big beers here, and for a reasonable price. Unlike “Whatever it’s now called field,” where the Texas Rangers Play, and a 12 oz. beer cost $8.

The game was followed up with an amazing fireworks show. I say amazing becuase it was better than what "Whatever it’s now called field,” where the Texas Rangers Play, had for the 4th of July. Although not spectacular, that word is still reserved for the fireworks in Chilie.

So in the end, I think I could get into baseball here. Although, I did suggest that they place a hot-tub in outfield like the Fort Worth Cats.
